Peter and Alice moved into a completed Pinehurst in 1905 and Alice began a guest book, entries to be made by all who stayed with the Enkes (the change of name to Armstrong from Enke did not take place until 1916) or visited for important family events. Also recorded in the same book were births and marriages of family members. Therefore we can build a picture of the comings and goings of family members.
Here are some of entries which include family members (Lunt, Lejeune, Enke)

1905

The first entry honour goes to L.M. Hunt, Alice’s aunt, who stayed from May 21st to June 12th. Also recorded were visits by the Brockbanks and by Hulda Enke.

The birth of baby Godfrey Hermann is recorded on September 22, 1905 (although the correct date is September 25). Godfrey was the maiden name of Alice’s paternal great grandmother and the christian name of one of Alice’s uncles. Max Enke was at Oaklands (or was staying while something was happening at Oaklands?) from the 5th through the 19th of July; also included is Hulda Enke (?).
1906

Notable visitors were Reg. L. Lunt from 2 September – 9 September and Marion Lejeune from the 9th to the 23rd of October (Marion was a school friend of Alice).
1907

In October, 1907, Lydia and Friedrich Enke, from Barmen, Germany, are recorded as visiting.
The book also includes a newspaper cutting announcing the marriage of Marion Lejeune and Max Enke in Quebec, Canada and their plans to travel to make their home on Galiano Island in British Columbia.
Paula and Ady Enke, Peter’s twin sisters, of Eeclo visited on the 27th of November.
1908

Paula and Ady Enke visited again of February 14, 1908.
Josephine Lunt visited from July 31st until August 21st, and Lydia Lunt on September 4th.
