In 1902, Russell Lejeune filled a photograph album with photos of family members and various rooms in the Lejeune home at 10 Wilmslow Road. Many of the photos Russell took in December 1901 featured snow because on December 12, 1901 an extensive snowstorm swept across England dumping such volumes of snow that major roads were blocked and traffic came to a standstill.
Featured here are scans of the original pages, followed by touched up versions of some of the photos showing family members. The quality is not great; the orginal snapshots, as can be seen, are small, and we are working from photos of the pages. Nevertheless, facial details can be seen for the people pictures and the details of the house, in which up to 13 people lived, are historically interesting.
